Dallas-Fort Worth Families Prevented from Foreclosure start a New Beginning during NeighborWorks Plants 2009!

BCL of Texas worked with former foreclosure prevention customers and the local area residents to plant small trees, flowers, and help with yard maintenance during the celebration of the 26th NeightborWorks Week. Families from Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex area who have saved their homes from Foreclosure will have a pear tree planted on Saturday, June 13 to symbolize a “New Beginning.”

BCL of Texas goal is that through the NeightborWorks Plants 2009 project the community learn an easy way of how contribute to the green effort nationwide and become better educated homeownerships.

BCL of Texas hosted as well their 2nd Annual BBQ Event to showcase their HomeOwnership Center located at 1322 Record Crossing, Dallas TX 75235. BCL of Texas executive director, Rosa Rios Valdez, and Home of Our Own program director, Jan McNerney, invite the Arlington Park community residents and local area partners to be part of this event.

BCL was able to provide all of the plants free through a sponsorship from Home Depot.
