Jan McNerney, Director of Homeownership

Jan earned her BA in Education from Arizona State University. Prior to joining BCL she spent 30 years in mortgage lending and banking holding manager’s positions with Pulte Mortgage, Bank of America, Ryland Mortgage and Wells Fargo. In 2004 she became a Mortgage Broker quickly becoming Fannie Mae approved through Emerging Markets for both programs and advertising being chosen as a lending partner with Home Depot and Fannie Mae on a regional program called Nuestro Hogar. Bank of America also approved her for their Emerging Market portfolio lending program Community Commitment. She is active in the Dallas/Ft Worth area participating in the HUD Round Table, HOPE Committee, and the State of Texas Foreclosure Prevention Task Force, and Dallas Mortgage Bankers. She is a certified MCE Real Estate instructor with the Texas Real Estate Commission teaching ethics and law.

Claudia Gomez, Lead Homeownership Specialist

Claudia is the lead bilingual counselor for BCL’s Home Retention Solutions Program and Homebuyer Education classes. Ms. Gomez studied at the University of Texas at Brownsville. Prior to working for BCL of Texas she worked in the mortgage industry and various other community development programs. Claudia will be leading BCL’s couseling team. She is certified through NeighborWorks America in Homebuyer Education, Basic and Advance Foreclosure Prevention. She also is currently developing BCL's ESL program.

Cindy Pecina , Homeownership Center Assistant

Ms Pecina provides support services with BCL's Home Retention Program and Foreclosure Prevention Workshops. She currently does outreach, marketing, customer intakes, and manages thehomeownership center. She is certified through NeighborWorks America in Foreclosure Prevention.
